Gill vs. PFPD Settlement Agreement
The final settlement agreement, dated 11/17/2010, signed by the PFPD Board (except Boucke).

Legal Bills / Timeline, Oct. 2008 - Present
A bill for $14,454 was paid by the disticts' insurance company to the Downey Brand law firm. The insurance policy goes to $25,000, so we're over halfway there, and the litigationhas barely begun. Apparently legal bills are going directly to Dir. Boucke's home, and he is forwarding them to the insurance company in an effort to keep them secret. However, they are public records. I will post documents as they become available. So far, the total amount spent on legal fees in the last 18 months is $41,264.17.

This is when the district was negotiating with Chief Gill about his contract. I'm starting here because this is when the trouble really started.

Here are the minutes from the Oct. 14 PFPD board meeting. Please note Dir. Boucke's comments at 8.1 regarding the chief's contract: "His counsel looked at it, our counsel looked at it and we signed it, so everything is good for five years."

Chief Gill's employment contract with the district is here (962K .pdf). Note item 3.4 Benefits - PERS Fire Safety. Also note the signatures: Dave Boucke and Marilyn Ramos.

(Apparently there were no legal costs incurred in Nov., Dec. or Jan.)
